Seven companies, each with its evidence file
Inclusion in the index is a nomination under the human-first screening criterion. It is not an endorsement and it is not a claim that a company is “anti-AI”. Each page lists what was actually found, when, and where, including evidence that cuts the other way.
Owner of Wizards of the Coast, whose Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering products are made under a published no-generative-AI rule for artists and writers.
Publisher of Rockstar Games and 2K; its CEO has said for years that hits are made by human genius and that Grand Theft Auto VI uses no generative AI.
A retailer whose SEC-filed compensation philosophy is not to minimize wages and whose CEO says technology has not displaced employees.
A logistics network run by a large unionized human workforce under a collective agreement with the Teamsters.
A restaurant chain whose food is prepared by people in open kitchens; nominated for its stated people-first culture.
The largest theatrical exhibitor, nominated as a proxy for the in-person, human-made cinema experience.
A studio with a published generative AI guideline for production partners that protects union-covered work and performer likenesses.
- Documented policy
- A written, company-authored policy committing to human creative work or to not replacing employees with AI exists and was verified at the source.
- Public statements only
- Executives have repeatedly stated a human-first position on the record, but no written policy was found. Statements are not commitments.
- Mixed evidence
- Verified evidence exists on both sides: documented human-first practices or policies next to documented AI or automation adoption that cuts the other way.
- No evidence found
- No verifiable statement or policy was found in either direction. The company stays listed as nominated, not as screened.
